Ans: Resources are distributed unequally over the earth because of the different natural conditions and physical factors like terrain, climate and altitude.

Ans: Using resources carefully and giving them time to get renewed is called resource conservation.

 

(iii)             Why are human resources important?

 

Ans: Human resources are important because people can make the best use of nature to create more resources when they have the knowledge, skill and technology to do so.

 

     (iv) What is sustainable development?

Ans: Balancing the need to use resources and also conserve them for the future is called sustainable development.
