  Answer: The process by which water continually changes its form and circulates between oceans, atmosphere, and the land is known as the water circle.

2.      What is salinity?
  Answer: The amount of salt in grams present in 1000 grams of water is called salinity

3.      What is the salinity of the Dead sea of Israel?
  Answer: The salinity of Dead sea of Isreal is 340 grams per liter of water.

4.      When is World Water Day celebrated?
  Answer: World Water Day is celebrated on 22 March.

5.      What is the percentage composition of –
a.       Ocean water.
b.      Water on the ice-caps.
c.       Groundwater. 

6.      What does the word Tsunami mean?
  Answer: The word Tsunami means "Harbour waves".

7.      What are tides and how are they caused?
  Answer: The regular rise and fall of ocean water are called tides that occurs twice in a day.
Tides are caused by the gravitational pull of the sun and the moon that is exerted on the oceans of the earth surface.
   
8.      What are ocean currents?
Answer: Ocean currents are continuous and permanent movement of ocean water flowing in specific directions. The ocean currents are caused due to several reasons like temperature, wind, Earth's rotation, etc.
